ZIVA ELIZABETH MERCER

Above: Ziva Elizabeth Mercer born November 20, 1:58 p.m., weighing 7lbs 7oz.

Above: Sharon and Ziva both doing well. Ziva’s cord was wrapped around her neck and was causing her heart rate to drop at each contraction. The cord was also causing issues with Ziva dropping down into place. After 24 hours after Sharon’s water broke waiting for labor to kick in, we decided to induce at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. God was gracious to cause Ziva to drop down into place and at 1:58 p.m. she was brought into the world with the support of your many prayers!

Ziva means “radiant” and Elizabeth means “God’s promise.” “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” — Psalm 34:4-5

Father, fill Ziva's mouth with continual praise for You. Make her soul to boast in You that she may be an encouragement to the humble. Deliver her from all her fears as she seeks You. Make her heart to look to Jesus that she may be radiant and never be ashamed. Let her hunger be for you and may she continually taste and see that you are good! Make her into a peacemaker and Father be close to her in times of trouble that she may experience Your deliverance. Redeem her according to your grace that she may live with full assurance in Your promises. May her life’s testimony become a light that shines before others that they may see her good works and glorify You. (Based on Psalm 34:1-22)

We are very thankful for all of your prayers in this time and very thankful for our friends in Hungary who are caring for our kids to make this an easier transition for our family. We appreciate your continued prayers.
